How to clear the browser history on an Android phone

Just like conventional computer web browsers, the browser on your Android phone stores data about what you've looked up.  It saves your history, cookies, searches, and sometimes even location data.  To clear the browser history from your smart phone, follow the steps below.

Instructions
Step 1
Open the browser

If you already have the browser on your phone running, you can skip this step.  Otherwise, touch the browser icon (the globe) on your phone's Home screen to open the web browser.  (You can also open it by bringing up your list of apps and touching Browser from there.)

Step 2
Go to browser settings

With the browser open, touch the Menu button and then choose More from the list of options.  When the list of more options appears, select Settings.  (If you have a hard keyboard, you can also get to this page by pressing the Menu button and the P key together.)

Step 3
Clear the browser history

On the Settings page, scroll down through the list until you see Clear History, and touch this option.  A box will pop up asking if you're sure.  Touch OK.  The browser history will be cleared, and the Clear History button will be grayed out.
